Party Invites... work in progress

Here is what I have so far, I am making party invites for my niece who will be turning 2, I used swiss dots cuttle bug folder  on her dress, and used a white gel pen to make the dots white and added more non-embossed dots, I used embossing powder on her nose, which made it not so flat, added a little shine.  I used a shimmer paper for her gloves and whites of her eyes, black stickles for the black of her eyes.  I used a black shimmer paper for her shadow.  a little pink ink pad for her cheeks.  I will update when I have more done... I have about 7 more to put together, I am waiting for my sister got get the invites printed up so I can start putting them together.

Using End Caps on Plantain Schoolbook + Watercolor

I made a name plate for my niece, how did I do it you ask?? It took me a few tries but here are my directions on how I did it... I first turned on my cricut, loaded my mat with paper, made sure my paper saver button was OFF and the real dial size button is also OFF, I turned ON my mix and match button.  I dont recall what size I cut at, you may have to mess around with it, depending on how long your name or word is, the cricut will go to the next line and I guess you could piece it together?! any how this is what buttons I pushed.
Top Layer: The FLOWER is on page 76, I pressed the END CAPS creative feature button, then pressed the flower button, P is on page 47, I want upper case P so I press SHIFT (leaving the End Caps creative feature key on) I press the P button, I is on page 40 I want a lowercase I so I just hit the I button, the shift has gone off because I did not use SHIFT LOCK, and repeat with the rest of the letters, to do the end flower you will use the SHIFT button again, to get the flower for the right side, so you will still have the end caps feature button on (it should be on the entire time) so to get the flower its SHIFT then the FLOWER button.  hit CUT and there you have it.
Bottom Layer: to do the bottom layer, dont change anything in the screen, just press the END CAPS SHADOW BUTTON, and the press REPEAT LAST then CUT! (obviously you can change the paper but dont turn off your cricut or the information wont be saved on your screen any more, so unload your mat, remove your title put new paper on and load your mat again)   I hope this is helpful.

Challenge: Card with Magnetic Insert

What I did that I thought was so awesome was I used the plastic off a DVD case to make the pocket for my fish... I cut out another bowl and trimmed it by hand to make an outline of the fish bowl, I used some pop dots to attach the plastic to the base bowl to give it some dimension and leave some space for the fish to get in and out easy...  (the top pic is the card stuck to my fridge, just the fish is a magnet)

St. Pattys Day Card...

Yes I know I am a little early, but after going threw my cricut carts and not finding ANYTHING that I could use for St. Patty's day I decided I better get to work and find a new cart or something... then I looked at some shapes I had.... found a 4 leaf flower... using the gypsy I welded 3 together each a different size... here is what I came up with for my card... I liked it so much I made more to make Christmas gifts for my family, I am going to make a bunch of different holiday cards, birthday cards, thank you... and so on package them up and give them as gifts next Christmas.  I still need to get a stamp, I dont care for my handwriting.
I did the stitching on the "clovers", on the other cards I made the layer with the ribbon go all the way to the end of the top layer, I think it kinda looks odd on my first card... I will update with the other 3 cards once I get the stamp I need.

Happy Birthday Robyn MPS

This is a Birthday card I made for Robyn, My Pink Stamper!
I used Create A Critter for the Zebra, I used a stamp from basic gray which I added some stickles to, I also used my cuttlebug and corner rounder.  The ribbon is purple with black polka-dots.

Would you like some?

So this idea came to me as a gag gift for my sister for her birthday, this saying is something we have said for some time now if someone can not decide what they want to eat... well would you like Poop on a stick? the answer is always ewww NO!  Originally I just had the "poop" in a zip-top bag but I thought to myself I can make this look professional... so here it is... the "poop" is just tootsie rolls.. Kinda gross but my family got a huge kick out of it and requested me to make more!

Shopping so far...

I have been to Michaels, Big Lots and JoAnns.  Michaels was a bust for the $4.99 cake carts... boo... Big Lots had 1 Cuttlebug die cut but nothing I wanted,  I did pick up some bazzill paper.. not sure if this was a score or not since I paid $5 for it I think there is 20 sheets in the package.  so off to JoAnn's.. what a deal I got there... I had to pick up my Zig glue pen to restick my cricut mat, those were 40% off, but the score of the day so far was the Wild Card Cricut Cart!  $9.99 yes you read that right...I took in my Michaels ad to get that price, you would be able to get the 4 carts pictured in the ad which are Wild Card, Simply Sweet, Old West and Sweethearts. I saved $83 at JoAnns today I only spent $14 and change!  I also picked up a christmas stamp for .50 cents.  MORE TO COME....so as promised, I have more to share, I got 2 more carts from the Michaels near my Moms house!  Jubilee and Birthday Cakes (a cricut cake cart) I also got some basic gray brads at the other Big Lots in town.. pretty great day!

Shopping

I am planning on going shopping tomorrow to search for deals, I "PLAN" on going to Big Lots, Michael's, Tuesday Mornings and Joann's.

Here is my game plan:
I will check Big Lots first (the one that is near Jo's & M's) searching for cuttlebug anything and other scrappin' goodies.  Next I will go to Michael's  to see if they have $4.99 cake carts... I saw this on a haul from today I didnt notice them while the $9.99 craziness was going on... then I will head over the Joann's to see if they will price match the clearance price that Michael's has on the Wild Card Cart.  If I have not spent all of my money I will go to Tuesday Mornings, if I cant get there tomorrow I will go on Saturday or Monday since its near where I work.  I will also be working in my moms City and will go to her Michael's while over there.. obviously to look for the cake carts... I also may take a different way home to check the other Big Lots...

Star Birthday Card

I made this card using George and Basic Shapes, I used the Happy Birthday Ribbon between the bottom layer and the top layer and used the "cheater method" when applying my ribbon, I jazzed up my envelope with the extra star that I had from doing the outline, I used my citrus stack from DCWV (Die Cuts With a View)  the craft card stock came from a scrap pack I got a Target.  My Stamp came from ACMoore I don't recall the brand at this time..

Minnie Mouse Birthday Card for my Niece Piper

I made this Birthday card using Mickey and Friends Cricut Cart. I cut Minnie at 3" and I also used George and Basic shapes for the letters along the left side, I actually made the signs but decided I didnt like them and cut the "poles" off to make the letter boxes.  The word bubble came from George and basic also.  My Niece will be 2 in May and will be having a Minnie Party!
